Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx New York, Eduardo (Eddie) Baez is a top-performing sales consultant at IBISWorld industry research, the leading provider of industry intelligence in the US. Growing up, Eddie experienced firsthand the difficulties of learning the essential skills required for professional B2B sales and the lack of mentors that resembled him in the sales community.
While in middle school, his guidance counselor suggested that he consider a career in professional sales based on his keen desire to connect with people. At college, this suggestion stuck with Eddie, and upon graduating he applied to several sales organizations. NCR was the first to answer the call and it provided him with his first SAAS role, which later became his successful inside sales career.
Eddie began his mission to build a top-performing sales program for junior sales talent with Scott at the Enterprise Sales Forum group in New York back in July of 2018. As a first-generation college graduate himself, he is strongly invested in paying his success forward through the Career Pipe mission.
Scott has spent 10 years in the data and analytics industry helping grow a company from essentially nil to $20 million/year in revenues. For the last few years, he has led business development and developed a highly effective sales function through extensive on-the-job training combined with the study of leading sales publications. Through this, he has recognized the value of standardized, proven sales approach and "lives this dream" daily at work. He has experienced first-hand both the opportunities awarded to sales professionals and the challenges of building a diverse team at a small company.
He was excited to extend this idea to those from diverse backgrounds, and meeting Eddie at just that time proved fortuitous.
Scott has a BA in economics and scientific computing from Kenyon College.
In other words, he is the least educated person in his family.
To provide under-served young adults a road map to financial independence by training them to become the best sales professionals in NYC.
